The CASA Private Pilot Licence syllabus is your roadmap for Australian pilot theory study. It sets the knowledge standard you need to work towards; course lessons help you understand and apply that knowledge.
Seven knowledge areas, eight course subjects
The aeroplane PPL examination covers Aerodynamics, Aircraft General Knowledge, Human Factors, Meteorology, Air Law, Navigation, and Aircraft Operations, Performance and Planning. Our program teaches Flight Radio separately as an eighth subject to give communication skills particular attention.
Use the current Australian requirements
Consult CASA for the current Part 61 Manual of Standards aeronautical knowledge requirements and PPL examination guidance. Check that you are using the appropriate aircraft category and current documents. Overseas syllabuses are not substitutes for Australian regulatory study.
